THE WINE CELLAR AT SÖDERTUNA CASTLE
Södertuna Castle's wine cellar is the oldest part of the castle and consists of what is left of the 14th-century farm Wad. Here you can book an atmospheric wine tasting in the castle's cellar vault. Legend has it that there was once a monastery here. And listen carefully when you're here, some people think they can still hear the monks singing.

Greve de Montals Armagnac
Scandinavia's largest collection
Södertuna Slott is an ambassador of the oldest known spirit made from wine, Armagnac. At the castle you will find Scandinavia's largest collection of Greve de Montal's Armagnac with vintages dating back to 1893. Production of the drink has been going on since 1411, which speaks of tradition, quality and history - an excellent addition to Södertuna Castle's historic environment.
Count Olivier de Montal is celebrated the world over for his armagnacs, which has led to Armagnac de Montal now being a supplier to the English royal family, a plethora of Michelin-starred restaurants and the French president. Balance, roundness and strength are what characterize a good Armagnac. Only when you swallow the drink does its full personality emerge, a diversity of flavors ranging from nuts, vanilla and chocolate to berries and flowers. Our wine cellar can be booked as a chambre séparée and is particularly suitable for wine tastings, birthday dinners, board meetings or other occasions that deserve that little extra. Here you sit secluded and cozy - up to 20 people - with the castle's kitchen providing well-prepared menus and carefully selected drinks. We are happy to help shape an evening entirely according to your wishes.
The charming setting carries a sense of discovery, not least thanks to the hidden passageway that leads to a secluded part of the castle. A place where the presence of history makes every experience unforgettable.
